COMPREHENSIVE Service Packages
Purchase packages of services that span months or years of time. These options are optimal to guide students throughout the entire admissions process.


Freshman/Sophomore Success Program              

This package is intended for 9th and 10th graders who desire a confident and academically sound start to the high school experience. The student will explore academic rigor, study skills and self-awareness required to pursue aggressive or unique post-secondary goals and aspirations. Services may be individualized to meet the needs of the student, but can include the following:

  • Up to 10 meeting hours with the student

  • Recommendations on high school course selection

  • Discussion of goal-setting skills and mindset maturity through book study of Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens

  • Learning styles and aptitude assessment tools to guide in career direction

The Complete College Planning Package                           This package is intended for students who want a full range of professional services in finding a best fit college, to match your child’s academic, social and financial needs. The student will be provided with guidance and instruction throughout the entire application process.  These service will be individualized to meet the needs of the student but can include the following:

  • Up to 25 meeting hours with the student

  • Review of transcript, ACT/SAT scores, and high school resume

  • Recommendations on high school course selection

  • Provide a template for the high school resume

  • Discuss recommendations for extracurricular and community activities

  • Aptitude assessments to guide in career direction and major/minor areas of study

  • Facilitate resources and research of colleges

  • Supply a list of recommended “best fit” colleges

  • Hold comprehensive interview with student and parents to discuss college list

  • Provide guidance and support throughout the application process

  • Assist in brainstorming and editing of college essays, application or scholarship essays

  • Assist in preparation for college interviews

  • Provide follow-up contact

  • Discuss college affordability



College Planning Support Package                

This package is designed for students who need some assistance in streamlining the college application process, or have specific questions or needs regarding the college process.  The student will receive guidance and instruction within a limited time restraints and application deadlines. This package give you flexibility to use 10 meeting hours as you choose.

International Student College Counseling Package  When working with with International students, we begin with a comprehensive discussion with the parent(s) and child, a review of applicable academic and test records, and completion of the Student/Family Profile. With this, the consultant will better understand the child and family’s values, priorities, and preferences.  These initial discussions begin to reveal the student’s strengths, needs and learning styles which is essential information in the academic advising and college selection process.  (These discussions may include an American “parent” or guardian that aids in the translation and/or regular communication with the student.)  


Services included in the Complete International Student College Counseling Plan include all of the services of the standard Comprehensive College Counseling Plan.


In addition, student who purchase this package will also receive assistance with the following:

TOEFL Examination

  • Plan and establish a schedule for the TOEFL Examination School Selection - including TSO schools

  • Review of T.S.O. Schools (Test Score Optional) if necessary Preparation of Required Bank Letter

Oversight of Deadlines

  • Regular communication to check on progress on each goal between meetings.

Comprehensive College Plan

  • Students will be guided through the entire admission process, and the counselor will explain each process as needed.  Parts of the process include some of the following:

High School Planning and Guidance

  • Create a detailed plan for high school coursework and ensuring that students are taking full advantage of course offerings at their high school

Extracurricular and Academic Interest Refinement

  • Help students apply their extracurricular and academic interests in novel ways, so as to deepen or broaden their experience in these pursuits

  • Discussion of specific opportunities for the student based on extracurricular pursuits

Summer Experiences

  • Discuss opportunities to maximize summer plans

College Selection

  • Develop, evaluate and finalize a list of colleges to which the student will apply

  • Identify colleges to visit

  • Learn about what to look for on college visits and schedule college visits

Essay Advising

  • Brainstorm ideas

  • Assess common application and school specific essay requirements

  • Review essay drafts

Application Review

  • Help the student highlight strengths

  • Review applications

Letters of Recommendation

  • Decide which teachers / professors to ask for recommendations

  • Learn how to approach teachers for the best results

Interview Preparation

  • Prepare students for on campus and off campus interviews and meetings with admissions officers

  • Practice interview questions and expert responses

Test Scheduling

  • Establish a standardized testing schedule

  • Explore test preparation strategies/classes

Wait List / Deferral

  • Develop strategies for acceptance if placed on the wait-list or deferred

Communication with Colleges

  • This plan also includes communication with colleges on the student’s behalf, if necessary. Students will receive in-person meetings (where available), unlimited phone, Skype and email correspondences.
